St Jude Classic Tips: Brian Stuard

Finished six shots clear at US Open qualifying on Monday and ranks 35th for adjusted scoring average on tour.

Early in the season Brian Stuard featured regularly in my PGA Tour tips. He started the year making eight consecutive cuts with two top-5 finishes. He then hit the buffers at the end of March missing five weekends.

His statistics have taken a hit but he still ranks an impressive 35th for adjusted scoring average and 36th in the all-around ranking. For a player often priced up as a no-hoper he has some impressive numbers.

Two weeks ago, he finished T22 at Colonial hinting at a return to form and on Monday he blitzed US Open qualifying at Springfield CC posting rounds of 65-64 to win by six shots.

Buoyed by his success he looks a lively outsider for the St Jude Classic at 250/1 (Coral) with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
