Better DeLaet Than Never

A break in his schedule means he’s no longer flavour of the month but he’s still a fine ball striker and a winner in waiting.

After a red-hot six months, people have stopped talking about Graham DeLaet and the bookmakers have pushed his price out.

Since the Barclays last August, the Canadian has been on a run of form that has seen him finish T2-3-T28-28-MC-T7-T6-T2-T2-T70-T34-T8.

You could argue it was just a purple patch but the quality of his game suggests he will be near the top of leaderboards for a while yet. The 32-year-old is a fierce competitor and one of the finest ball strikers on tour.

DeLaet finished T3 at the Houston Open in 2010 but he’s a vastly improved player since then and an excellent each-way bet at 33/1 (Paddy Power) with ¼ odds for a top-6 finish.
