Scottish Open Halted By Rain

There will be no play until 2pm at the earliest after bad weather interrupted the second round.

Torrential rain and flooding has meant that Saturday’s start has been delayed. With half the field still to complete their second rounds, those who went out early on Friday are sitting pretty.

After an eight-under par round of 64, Graeme McDowell is in a three-way tie for the lead on -11. The former US Open champion bounced backed to form and is 9/2 favourite, having been a 25/1 chance at the start of Friday.

Sharing the lead on -11 are Scotsmen Peter Whiteford at 20/1 and Scott Jamieson a 22/1 chance, both with Paddy Power.

Lee Westwood and Luke Donald were caught up in the worst of the weather and still have half of their second rounds to complete. Both have drifted in the betting and can be backed at 11/2 and 15/2 respectively.
