Savannah Championship Tip: Chase Seiffert
Found form as the Web.com Tour returned to the USA. Seiffert should enjoy conditions this week as he grew up playing golf on the east coast.
Chase Seiffert enjoyed a strong amateur career in Florida but it’s taken him a while to make an impact in the professional ranks. A T9 finish at the Travelers Championship after Monday qualifying open doors gave access to the Web.com Tour Finals and he earned enough money for status in the 2019 season.
After a quiet start in the South America swing, the 27-year-old is gaining momentum on home soil. His last two starts have produced finishes of T12-T24 and he is currently sixth in the tour’s all-around ranking. A terrific driver of the ball, there are no glaring weaknesses in his underlying statistics this season, although this is from a limited sample size.
With this week’s event in Georgia on the east coast, Seiffert should be familiar with conditions considering he played most of his golf across the state border in Florida.
