Sanderson Farms: Robby Shelton

After winning twice on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019, I had high hopes for Robby Shelton unfortunately he’s been quite hits and miss. Twelve months ago I rated him as highly Scottie Scheffler but he is now going off at twenty times the price. A victim of his inconsistency and Scheffler’s excellent in high profile events.

There have been glimmers of the 25-year-old’s talent with a T3 at the 3M Open and at T13 at the Northern Trust Open both in stronger fields than he faces this week. It’s hard to predict a going week with Shelton but at least he has course experience having made the cut twice at this event. There is a chance he disappears without a trace this week but at the odds he is worth the risk.
