Verdict:
Another one of the unheralded players but he does arrive off a victory in the KLM Open in the Netherlands. He also led going into the final round at this year’s Masters, finishing T3 in the end.
The 34-year-old made a fairly inauspicious RC debut in 2010 where he won a fourballs rubber but lost in the foursomes, before a tough break in the draw saw him well-beaten by Mickelson in the singles.
