Europe 6/1 to retain Ryder Cup

The hosts are still heavy favourites but Ian Poulter's late heroics have given the visitors a fighting chance.

Team USA take a 10-6 lead into Sunday’s singles and find themselves nothing longer than 1/8 shots (Betfred) to win back the Ryder Cup in Chicago.

Jose Maria Olazabal’s side looked down and out for long periods on Saturday and drifted to 18/1 at one point. However. after Donald/Garcia and Poulter/McIlroy claimed the final two points of the day hopes revived slightly; Europe are now a best price 17/2 (Bet365) to claim a famous victory.

An outright win is not what really matters here though. The magic total for the away team would be 14 points; that would mean a tie (16/1 Ladbrokes) and Europe taking the trophy back home with them. They are a best price 6/1 (Coral) to retain the Ryder Cup one way or another.
