Puerto Rico Tips: Tom Hoge

Puerto Rico Tips: Tom Hoge

Missed the cut last year but the course should suit. Finished T9 on the coast at Sea Island and has made two cuts at Mayakoba.

Tom Hoge missed the cut in Puerto Rico last year but with course knowledge under his belt I expect a much stronger showing. On paper the Donald Trump venue should suit.

Hoge has finished T44-T63 at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, whilst his best result of the season (T9) came on the coast at Sea Island in the RSM Classic.

The 26-year-old caught the eye last season with a T5 at the Canadian Open and often goes well in these weaker PGA Tour events. He also had top-20 finishes at the Barbasol Championship and Barracuda Championship.

As a web.com graduate, he has recent experience of playing in Central/South America and the different types of grass on the fairways and greens. At 150/1 (BetVictor) he is a lively each-way outsider.
