The Hills GC, Gothenburg hosts the Nordea Masters for the first time and it’s hard to get a handle on the course. It’s part-parkland part-forest but generally it’s in keeping with a central European course, what it isn’t is links golf and that might well suit Thomas Detry.

Detry is currently ranked 36th on tour for scoring average and his results are trending in the right direction. With a tour card secured for next season he can raise his expectations and contending for a win is the natural progression.
