Oman Open Tip: Andy Sullivan

Found form of late with consecutive top-20 finishes on the European Tour. Has good form in the desert and capable of winning at this level.

The Oman Open is a new event on the European Tour, earning an upgrade from the Challenge Tour but conditions won’t be unfamiliar for many in this field. The Oman Open kicks-off a double header in the desert with the Qatar Masters and although not as illustrious as Desert Swing in Dubai and Abu Dhabi they should make for good events.

The Al Mouj Golf has a links feel to it but several of the holes are classic resort course but situated on the coast wind will be a factor. The most similair event on Tour is probably the Qatar Masters but any desert form should be respected.

Andy Sullivan endured a fairly horrible 2017 but that is behind him now and he seems to have turned the corner with top-20 finishes in Dubai and Malaysia. At his best he is a cut above this field and he has plenty of form in the desert.  Sullivan’s record in the Qatar Masters is 9-MC-19-28 and he’s finished second at both the Dubai Desert Classic and DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.

Back Sullivan at 25/1 with Betfred and get 6 places at 1/5 odds.
