Keegan’s Open Record Up To Scratch

Keegan’s Open Record Up To Scratch

Keegan Bradley is already a major winner and hasn’t finished lower than T34 in three cracks at the Open.

My first selection for the Open Championship was going to be my headline selection and probably a 2-pointer but he’s been downgraded due to the forecast wind.

Keegan Bradley can divide punters with his fidgety ball address but having won the US PGA Championship when we tipped him at 150/1 he can do no wrong in my eyes.

The 29-year-old is enjoying another solid season on the PGA Tour. He has only missed two cuts in 18 starts and has seven top-25 finishes.

Victory has proved elusive but tee-to-green his metrics are as good as ever. He is a terrific driver of the ball (ranked 3rd in total driving) and it is only the switch to a short putter (99th in strokes gained putting) that has held him back.

St. Andrews looks the ideal fit for his game because he can carry the trouble, the only issue is the wind. His high ball flight could prove problematic but his Open record is T34-T15-T19 so hopefully he has the skill to adapt.

At 150/1 he is a lively outsider with Betfair Sportsbook who are paying ¼ odds for a top-8 finish (£25 max).
