John Deere Classic Update

Players went deep into the red at TPC Deere Run, with the main protagonists at the right end of the leaderboard.

TPC Deere Run again made easy pickings for the professionals as the majority of the field finished their first round under par. Big hitting Kris Blanks closed with five consecutive birdies to lead in the clubhouse by one shot. His opening round 63 was his best of the year and contained ten birdies. He is a general 25/1 chance to win the tournament.

Steve Stricker is the market leader after a solid round of five under par. The American is looking for his third win in a row at the John Deere Classic and can be backed at 11/2.

It was a good day for both Betting Bias tips, with Charles Howell III only three shots off the lead. He is cut to 14/1 having been flagged up pre-tournament at 25s.
