Indian Open: Paul Peterson

Finished T30 last week and seems to be rounding into form. One of the most accurate drivers on tour and T55-T23 record at DLF G&CC only tells half the story.

You are only moments away from catastrophe at DLF G&CC which makes it all the more important to find fairways and greens. This is the sort of course where bombers don’t enjoy their usual advantage and accuracy is important.

Paul Peterson is one of the straightest hitters on tour, currently ranked third in driving accuracy but even that hasn’t stopped him falling four of DLF’s traps.

In 2017 he finished T55 after dropping ten shots in his final seven holes, with a 10 on the 13th! That was a top-20 that went begging and he was going even better last year and on course of a top-10 until and poor final few holes on Sunday.

Peterson’s ability to find more fairways and greens than average make him a good bet at this type of venue and with two top-30 finishes on his last two starts he brings some form with him to India.

Paddy Power are paying 7 places at 1/5 odds.
