Kyle Stanley On The Way Back

CareerBuilder Challenge Betting Tips: Kyle Stanley On The Way Back

Terrific player tee-to-green and returning to the sort of form he showed in 2012.

Regular readers will know I’m a huge fan of Kyle Stanley. Yes, he blew a four shot lead on the last hole of the 2012 Farmers Insurance Open (I tipped him at 125/1 and didn’t trade out) but I found his meltdown strangely endearing. The fact he went out and won the following week is testament to his mental toughness.

That resilience has been severely tested over the past 18 months as his game deserted him but he took some time off last summer to refocus and results have steadily improved.

The 28-year-old regained his card with a strong finish to the Web.com season, recording four top-16s in the last five events, including a T5 on the Peter Dye designed Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass.

Stanley’s strength is his terrific long game, he ranked 11th in strokes gained tee-to-green in 2012 and that will be a huge asset this week.

He warmed up with an encouraging T13 at the Sony Open and should go well again at 125/1 (Paddy Power) with 1/5 odds for a top-7 finish.
