Friday Foursomes: Donald/Garcia v Mickelson/Bradley
One of the deadliest combos in the history of the Ryder Cup is out early on Day 1 looking to extend a 100% record.
As much as this site hates betting against Keegan Bradley, sometimes you just can’t ignore the weight of history. In the second match on Friday, Europe are a best price 10/11 (BetVictor) to win. Bradley is a debutant, but let’s look at the foursomes records of the other three men in the match.
Luke Donald: P6 (W6 L0 H0)
Sergio Garcia: P9 (W8 L0 H1)
Phil Mickelson: P11(W2 L5 H4)
America’s favourite left-hander has a miserable set of results in this format and it looks all the worse next to Europe’s deadly duo.
Donald & Garcia will walk onto Medinah with a sense of invincibility built up over many years of success together. I actually expect the fired-up Bradley and the experienced Mickelson to compete, but at close to evens money you can’t ignore such a one-sided form book.
