European Masters Tip: Pablo Larrazabal

Finished T7 last year despite and returns off a similair break. Standard of golf this season makes him worth the risk at triple figure price.

It’s been almost a month since Pablo Larrazabal teed it up anywhere but a mid-season break makes sense after the US PGA, with the European Tour back-loaded with big events and Ryder Cup points from the Czech Masters onward.

The Spaniard did something similair last year and that didn’t stop him charging to a T7 finish despite ranking 49th in putts per GIR. What he will have to do is start quicker because in a low scoring event you’ve got to ping the lids or you get too far back.

Larrazabal is a proven winner on tour (4 victories) and is the sort of character who would relish playing in the Ryder Cup. The journey starts for him now and raked 26th on the Race To Dubai he’s had a good enough season to warrant being shorter than 100/1 with Coral paying 7 places at 1/5 odds.
