Donald caught but still Favourite

Quiros finished in style

The world number two is now in a 3-way tie for the lead at Wentworth.

Luke Donald shot a 72, eight shots worse than the day before, but remains on six under, now sharing the lead with Alvaro Quiros and Matteo Manassero. The English world number two is a best price 5/2 with StanJames after the field bunched together ahead of the weekend.

Quiros shot a joint—best round of the day 67, which included three birdies on the 16th, 17th and 18th. He is 9/2 with Coral. Manassero had a steady 70 and the Italian is 5/1 with the same firm to claim a third European Tour title at just 18-years-old. World number one Lee Westwood is five shots back after a 69 and totesport have shortened his odds to 11/1.

Stateside, Sergio Garcia is now favourite for the Byron Nelson Championship where he shares the lead on eight under. The Spaniard is 13/8 with Coral while co-leader Ryan Palmer is 10/3 with bet365. The pair stand three shots clear at the half-way point.
