Donald and Manassero Lead by Two

Manassero wants a third Euro Tour win.

Donald had a wretched start to round three, but recovered well to regain favouritism

Luke Donald dropped five shots in his first six holes, was pushed out to 16/1 by one bookmaker, before fighting back to regain a share of the lead in the BMW PGA Championship. Birdies at 16 and 17 pretty much resolved the status quo and made the world number two a 15/8 shot with Coral. The 18-year-old Manassero closed with nine straight pars to also finish at five under; he is 100/30 with Sportingbet.

Lee Westwood is the player really making his move though, now just two back at -3. A second consecutive round of 69 has seen the world number one reeled in to a best price 4/1 with Skybet. Fabrizio Zanotti remains in contention on the same score, but without Westwood’s reputation, he is 33/1 with Sportingbet heading into the final round.

In America, the two second round leaders of the Byron Nelson Championship laboured. Ryan Palmer still leads after shooting a 73 that left him at -5. One back is Sergio Garcia after he carded a 74. Both men are still joint 3/1 favourites with SkyBet, but the pack now loom behind with interest. Matt Kuchar, on -2, has crept into a best price 9/1 with StanJames.
