Deutsche Bank Tips: Bubba Watson
Leads the tour in strokes gained tee-to-green and par 5 scoring, a common theme amongst past champions.
Five of the last twelve renewals of the Deutsche Bank have been won by the player ranked first on tour for strokes gained tee-to-green and par 5 scoring.
Bubba Watson is currently ranked first for both metrics and therefore must enter our staking plan.
The two-time major winner doesn’t have a particularly good record at TPC Boston, with nothing better than a T12 in nine starts but he arrives in red hot form.
Outside of majors he has finished 1-T13-2-2-3 in his last five starts on the PGA Tour.
Bubba has been a model of consistency this season, not something we usually associate with him and at 22/1 (Skybet) we should get a good run for our money.
