Crowne Plaza Invitational Tips: Chris Kirk

Hasn’t missed a cut since January and finished T5-T16 on his last two visits to Colonial.

Chris Kirk is starting to become a regular on these pages but his consistency puts him on the shortlist for most of these tournaments.

The 28-year-old has made 11/12 cuts this season, an active streak that goes all the way back to the Humana Challenge in January.

Ranked 7th for strokes gained putting and 13th for scoring average, it is on the greens where Kirk does most of his damage. That bodes well, as recent winners at Colonial have all been excellent putters.

In the last two seasons Kirk’s finished T16-T5 at Colonial, closing with a 65 last year, suggesting the course plays to his strengths.

Although Coral go 50/1, I recommend taking the extra each way place and backing Chris Kirk at 45/1 with BetVictor who are going ¼ odds for a top-6 finish.
