When The Going Gets Duff

CIMB Classic Tips: Jason Dufner

Still one of the best players tee-to-green on tour and has a good record in Asia.

The PGA Tour decamps to Malaysia for the sixth edition of the CIMB Classic. Having gained official status in 2013 the field has gradually improved and it now attracts a good mix of Asian and US based players plus the usual sponsor’s invites.

Jason Dufner has been one of the Americans happy to travel for his golf and his results in Asia have been eye-catching.

His record in the CIMB Classic is T10-T16-T26 but last season he also finished T10 at the HSBC Champions and T7 at the Chiangmai Golf Classic.

The 38-year-old’s battle with his putter is well documented but tee-to-green his game is in excellent shape (ranked 16th last season) and he played well in patches at the Shriners last week.

In a limited field with no cut we should get a run for our money at 70/1 (Betfred).
