Byron Nelson Tips: Graham DeLaet
Ranked second on tour for ball striking; has the ideal game for TPC Four Seasons.
Stretching to 7,166 yards, TPC Four Seasons can play long; especially considering it is a par-70. Recent winners are all prolific drivers of the ball, with the likes of Adam Scott and Jason Day on the honours board.
It is a course that suits big hitters and that brings Graham DeLaet into the reckoning. The Canadian is ranked eighth on tour for driving distance, fourth for total driving and second for ball striking.
Yet to win on the PGA Tour, the 31-year-old is a three-time winner on the Canadian Tour and looks comfortable having made the step up in grade.
So far this year DeLaet’s made 10/13 cuts, with five top-25 finishes. At 90/1 (BetVictor) he looks a lively outsider with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
