Pebble Beach Tips: Hunter Mahan
Has finished no worse than T16 in the last four years and his win-rate is better than people expect.
Hunter Mahan has four top-20s in his last four visits to Pebble Beach, making him a solid selection this week.
The 32-year-old is often criticised for not winning as often as he should but the PGA Tour is tough and he holds his own.
Since 2007 he has won 6 times in 206 starts, that makes him on average a 33/1 chance and on a course we know he likes, the 28/1 (Boylesports) is more than fair.
Mahan has enjoyed a solid start to the year with T17-T30 finishes and his excellent ball-striking will always make him competitive around Pebble Beach.
