Alfred Dunhill Links Tips: Richard Sterne
Leads the tour for scoring average, has a good links record and should be favourite.
Currently fourth in the Race to Dubai, Richard Sterne is the highest ranked player in Scotland this week and deserves to be shorter than his quote of 33/1.
The South African has only missed two cuts all year, has six top-10 finishes and arrives on a run of form that reads T31-T21-T9-MC-T13.
After a couple of injury plagued seasons Sterne is back to his best and is looking to add to his six career titles.
No stranger to links golf, the 32-year-old has three top-25 finishes at the Dunhill Links Championship and finished T21 at the Open earlier this year.
He has the lowest scoring average (69.94) on the European Tour, one of only two players to dip under 70 for the year. At 33/1 (BetVictor) he is a solid each-way investment with ¼ odds for a top-6 finish.
