Alfred Dunhill Links Championship: Andrew Johnston

Andrew Johnston would prove a popular winner of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship given the mental health struggles he’s suffered in recent years but he’s seems in a better place on and off the course. His last five starts have produced finishes of T4-MC-T10-T23-T9 and he is rounding into the sort of form that saw him win the 2016 Open de Espana.
The Dunhill Links hasn’t been particularly kind to him with finishes of MC-MC-63 but his Open Championship record is MC-8-T27-MC and he is a player who understands links golf. Ranked inside the top-20 on the European Tour for scoring average and strokes gained tee-to-green he just needs the putter to fire for another good finish.
