What Is A Patent Bet?
7 Bets: 3 singles, 3 doubles and 1 treble. Learn what a patent bet is, how much it costs and how many bets it entails.
Patent
Number of selections: 3
Number of bets: 7
Composition of bet: 3 singles, 3 doubles and 1 treble
The patent is a popular bet because one winner generates a return but with the opportunity to multiple winnings with a second or third selection winning. If all three selections win then seven bets are won: 3 singles, 3 doubles and a treble.
Unlike a Trixie there are more permutations because of the singles included in the bet. This however means the more cautious punter has a better chance of returning something from the bet.
