Superbowl Betting Preview

The Green Bay Packers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night in Super Bowl XLV

Put down your soccer balls there is only one football game this weekend and it is in Arlington Texas - Super Bowl XLV.  The Green Bay Packers face the Pittsburgh Steelers in grid iron’s final game of the season.

Bookmakers have Green Bay as marginal favourites at 4/6 by virtue that they got to the final the hard way having to win all their playoff games on the road but they did so more comfortably than Pittsburgh who should have had the easier route on paper.

On the NFL statistics the Steelers have the edge, their defence is stronger than the Packers and thier offensive running game is stronger. The main area where the Packers are ahead is in passing yards per game where they are 32 yards stronger. Most pundits believe they key man is Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers, if he has a good game then the MVP and Super Bowl ring are his.

The Super Bowl isn’t all about sport it is entertainment as well and fans are in for a treat. The national anthem is going to be sung by Christina Aguilera famed for stretching out a even the smallest word into four octave roller coaster the Star Spangled Banner could still be going come March. Boylesports go 8/11 that the National Anthem lasts over 1minute 55 seconds.
