Betting Highs & Lows of 2013

When betting for a living it is important to be phlegmatic about the highs and lows because they are so frequent but here are some that stick in the mind.

Highs

Patrick Reed winning the Wyndham Championship @ 80/1
A playoff win that words cannot describe.

Graham DeLaet T2 at The Barclays @ 175/1
Seemingly out of contention, the big names collapsed on Sunday allowing the Canadian to secure an unlikely second place with a final round 65.

Pettochside winning at Kempton @ 12/1
Our patience was rewarded after waiting 120 days for Pettochside to return to the track after an eye-catching run at Ascot.

Lows

Simon Khan losing a playoff in the BMW PGA Championship @ 200/1
Simon Khan came storming through the field on Sunday at Wentworth but a lucky ricochet helped Matteo Mannesero win an epic playoff.

Keegan Bradley in the CIMB Classic @ 16/1
Having gone big on Keegan Bradley to win the CIMB Classic it all looked good at the halfway stage as he enjoyed a four shot lead. The weekend was therefore a big let down as he lost the plot and finished 10th.

Saloomy to win at Ascot @ 14/1
He beat all his rivals by two lengths unfortunately there was a split in the field and he found himself drawn on the wrong side, eventually trailing in sixth.
