Vettel Marches On

Vettel wins again

The German champion looks unstoppable having won five out of six races so far this season.

A late safety car played into Sebastian Vettel’s hands and ensured he claimed his first ever victory in the Monaco Grand Prix. Late drama had been intensifying with Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button breathing down the German’s neck when the race was prematurely ended. Vettel now has a 58-point lead in the Drivers’ Championship after only six meets; not surprisingly he is a best price of 1/7 to retain his crown with Coral.

It was a nightmare weekend for his nearest challenger, Lewis Hamilton. The 2008 champion struggled in qualifying, finished the race in sixth position before getting embroiled in a war of words with stewards. Having also implicitly criticised his own team, and other drivers, Hamilton will be glad to see the back of Monte Carlo. He is now 10/1 to overhaul Vettel, according to skybet.
