Turkish Grand Prix Tip: Felipe Massa

felipe massa

Has won three times in Turkey and the signs are he is returning to his best.

With Sebastian Vettel crashing in free practise and both McLarens struggling it is time to look beyond the usual suspects. Ferrari started the season with high hopes but have struggled badly; if there is to be a revival this is the most likely track. Going against conventional wisdom I think it will be Massa not Alonso who delivers it.

The Brazilian has a fantastic record at the track with a hat-trick of wins between 2006 and 2008. Even during the doldrums of the past two seasons, he still managed points finishes. In short, he loves this track.

In three races so far this season Massa has twice finished ahead of Alonso, a remarkable start considering many were questioning his future in F1. With doubts surrounding the main protagonists there is a chance Massa could sneak onto the podium or even win the race at fanciful odds of 25/1.
