Turkish Grand Prix Odds

For the first time this season Red Bull look under a bit of pressure. Their rivals will be hoping the early season charge has lost its fizz.

If Bernie Ecclestone is looking to sell F1 then the Chinese Grand Prix probably put another zero on the price tag. After Sebastian Vettel’s domination of the first two races, the excitement of China is just what the season needed. The gap at the top of the drivers’ championship stands at 21 points but for the first time in 2011 it doesn’t seem insurmountable.

Despite the wave of optimism running through the field, the world champion still sits in the best car and at 11/8 the bookmakers expect him to regain the winning thread. His recent conqueror Lewis Hamilton is 3/1 to win again after his season was ignited in China with that stirring victory.

After an early season spent box walking, the prancing horses of Alonso and Massa are ready to start galloping. With the Spaniard topping the first practice session, his odds have been cut to 10/1 with his team mate at 25/1.

It is worth noting that Red Bull have never won at the Istanbul Park Circuit. Possibly a statistical quirk, but one that all their rivals will be desperate to see continue.
