Singapore GP Tips: Adrian Sutil

The medium/super soft tyre split is unusual but Force India have utilised it to good effect this season.

Formula One heads to the bright lights of Singapore this weekend and it is a grand prix where Force India have enjoyed good results. Last season Paul Di Resta finished a career high fourth and it could be his teammate’s turn this year.

Adrian Sutil finished ninth in 2010, eighth in 2011 and another points finish looks on the cards.

The Marina Bay circuit is in effect Monaco with lights, which bodes well for Sutil as his best finish of the season came in the principality.

The other unusual factor at play is the tyres. The medium compound is the prime tyre, with the super-softs the option. This strategy split has only happened twice this season, in Australia and Canada, races in which both Force India cars scored points.

In summary, we have a track that suits both car and driver and a tyre strategy that has yielded success already this season. At 13/8 (Bet365), Adrian Sutil is a cracking bet to finish in the points this weekend.
