Indian GP Tips: Esteban Gutierrez
Points finish in Japan wasn't a fluke, he matched the best lap times of his teammate but bookmakers have been slow to react.
Sauber have enjoyed a strong second half to the season with Nico Hulkenberg regularly scoring points but in Japan Esteban Gutierrez finally got in on the act.
It has been a difficult year for the rookie Mexican but his seventh place at Suzuka was fully deserved and his lap times, particularly in the final stint, proved he could match the pace of his teammate.
There were signs he was getting to grips with F1 when we highlighted a particularly strong second stint in Belgium , therefore his improvement shouldn’t be considered a fluke.
The bookmakers have been slow to react however. Nico Hulkenberg is 1/3 (Skybet) to finish in the points in India but the value is on Gutierrez, who is a massive 7/5 (Paddy Power) to score some points this weekend.
