Hungarian Grand Prix Tip: Number of Finishers

Traditionally a track with a high percentage of finishers and F1 cars are more reliable than ever.

Yet again, the bookmakers have underestimated the number of finishers for the Hungarian GP, and some simple maths highlights the value.

In four of ten races this season there have been more than 21 finishers; in pure odds that is a 6/4 chance. Blue Square are offering 7/4 that there are more than 21 classified drivers in Hungary and that is instantly value.

Dig a bit deeper and the case gets even stronger. Over the last 5 years, on average 80% of cars finish the Hungarian GP. That is above the 5-season general F1 average of 72% with the Hungaroring ranking 4th in terms of finishers behind the Grand Prix of Valencia, Abu Dhabi and China.

Given the reliability of 2012 F1 cars, back over 21 classified finishers at 7/4 with Blue Square.
