Chinese Grand Prix Tip: Adrian Sutil

Sutil Has The Force

Has been hovering around the top ten all season and likes the circuit.

With the big five teams holding the fastest cars there is quite a gap to the midfield in terms of pace; yet surprisingly the ‘smaller’ teams have been able to cash in some points finishes

So far this season Sauber, Toro Rosso and Force India have finished in the top ten six times between them, that equates to 50% of the time. When looking at the points finish market anything quoted above evens deserves a second look.

The man who catches my eye is Adrian Sutil of Force India. So far this season he has been rather overshadowed by rookie Paul De Resta and the odds reflect that. The biased British bookmakers have the Scot at 7/4 for a top ten finish compared to Sutil’s 5/2, these prices are the wrong way round.

As the senior driver, Sutil will be out to restore his reputation and Shanghai is a track that he does well at. Last year he managed to qualify in the top ten, only to finish just outside the points in 11th. The previous year he was driving an excellent race in 7th until a big accident put him out just six laps before the end.

With finishes of 9th and 11th this season he has been sniffing around the points mark already. At the prices he represents the best value.
