Canadian GP Preview

After the procession of the Monaco GP we can look forward to some action in Canada.

This week we visit Montreal for the Canadian GP, often one of the most exciting races on the F1 calendar.

Value of pole position
Although the pole-sitter has won 3 of the last 5 races in Montreal, Jenson Button proved in 2011 you can win from anywhere on the grid. Starting 7th, he was last at one point before taking a remarkable race win, helped in part by the wet conditions. Kimi Raikkonen also won the race from 7th on the grid back in 2005.

Driver to watch
Lewis Hamilton has won three times in Montreal and it is one of his favourite circuits.

Retirement Rate – Above Average
The Canadian GP has the second lowest amount of finishers on average - only behind Australia. The Gilles Villeneuve circuit is a high-speed track, but barriers running close to the circuit claim plenty of victims.
Under 18 classified drivers 11/8 (Stan James)
