Tottenham v Blackburn Tip

With all the discontent surrounding Tottenham at the moment I find it impossible to back them to win this one at best odds of 2/5 with PaddyPower. Those are remarkably stingy odds for a side who have picked up fewer points than anyone bar Wolves in their last nine outings.
If the form wasn’t enough of a concern then rumours surrounding the possible exits of Redknapp, Bale and now Modric certainly are. When you also consider that all the sides fighting relegation seem capable of finding a little extra at this stage of the campaign, then we have to turn to Blackburn for some value.
Rovers still have the joint-best away goalscoring record in the bottom half of the table and I would always feel more comfortable backing them to find the net then actually win a fixture like this. Arguably, their man of the moment is Junior Hoilett; the Canadian scored a sublime effort in the 2-0 victory over Norwich last weekend.
The 21-year-old scored twice when Rovers last won on their travels in March and then struck again in the next triumph against Sunderland. Blackburn’s slim hopes of survival rest firmly with his partnership with Yakubu in these final few games.
‘The Yak’ has scored more during the season as a whole and is therefore 3/1 (Ladbrokes) in the anytime goalscorer market. I would suggest that on current form the younger, quicker striker is just as likely to pounce. We should therefore take the value on Hoilett at a best price of 9/2 (BetVictor) to score in 90 minutes against struggling Spurs.
*Note that the bookies frequently refer to Junior Hoilett by his birth name of David Hoilett.
