Wimbledon Women's Tip: Sabine Lisicki
Nobody can match the 25-year-old's Wimbledon record for consistency: QF-A-SF-QF-F-QF. When there, she contends.
If there’s one player for whom you can pretty much disregard the rest of the season - it’s Sabine Lisicki. The 25-year-old always comes alive on grass and that’s all that matters.
The German recently made history with a world record 27 aces in a match during the Aegon Classic. She may have exited at the semi-final stage in Birmingham but Lisicki always tends to make her mark at the All England Club.
She was a finalist in 2013, made the semis in 2011 and can also claim three other quarter-final appearances since 2009. A win percentage of 79% in SW19 makes her a contender and a snip at best odds of 20/1 with Boylesports.
It’s worth going each-way because you’ll get paid out a half odds if Sabine simply makes the final. With Serena Williams in the other half of the draw there’s every chance of that.
