Murray May Miss Out
The Spaniard has won all four clashes with Murray on clay, reached the final in 2013, and just demolished the US Open champion.
Having already tipped Nadal to defeat Djokovic and go all the way, I fancy there could be a Spanish double at Roland Garros on Wednesday.
Andy Murray is on great form and lines up as the 1/2 favourite to win his quarter final but it’s David Ferrer who has held all the aces on this surface before. The 33-year-old has won all four meetings between the two on clay but is offered up at 7/4 by Boylesports.
Ferrer demonstrated how at home he feels in Paris by demolishing US Open champion Marin Cilic 6-2 6-2 6-4 in the last 16.
Having reached the final in 2013 and taken a set off Nadal last year, there is a case for saying that the renowned returner from Valencia should actually be favourite here.
