Men's Australian Open Tip: Andy Murray e/w

A four time finalist in Melbourne - we make more money backing him to do that again than backing Djokovic to win if the same stake is applied.

Novak Djokovic is in the form of life but at best odds of 8/11 there’s little value in backing the Serbian to claim an 11th Grand Slam title. Instead we can make slightly more money putting the same stake on Andy Murray at least reaching the final at 11/2.

This is what we get by backing the Scotsman each-way with any of the firms offering half odds for reaching the Championship match and there’s always the slim chance he could just beat the world number one for a much bigger pay day.

Murray has reached four of the last six finals at Melbourne Park and he arrives this time in arguably the form of his life.

The 28-year-old ended 2015 as a Davis Cup champion and he did at least defeat Djokovic once last year in the final of the 2015 Rogers Cup. He’s a great bet to at least get another crack at the main man in Australia.
