Australian Open: Latest Betting

It is the usual suspects dominating the men’s game whilst the women’s draw has seen numerous shocks.

The top four players in the men’s ranking are leading the betting in the Australian Open. Novak Djokovic is 5/4 favourite with Stan James - a position he has enjoyed all tournament.

Juan Martin Del Potro is the shortest price outside of the ‘big 4’ at 20/1 with Boylesports; he faces Roger Federer in the next round.

So far matches have gone to form, which is good news for our tennis tipster. Placed in an accumulator the ‘big 4’ are evens (William Hill) to make the semi-finals, a scenario that was 15/4 at the start of the tournament.

In the women’s draw Petra Kvitova is the 15/8 (Skybet) favourite with Victoria Azarenka hot on her heels at 3/1 with Bet365.

The big market mover is Maria Sharapova, into 6/1 with Boylesports having been 35/1 in the pre-tournament betting. More good news for Betting Bias who recommended the 2008 champion as the best bet in the ladies’ singles.
