Scotland 40/1 to win 6 Nations

Scotland somehow conjured up a victory against Ireland despite having little territory or possession. Meanwhile England are 4/7 (Paddy Power) for the Grand Slam.

Statistically it was a game Scotland should never have won; Ireland dominated possession (71%) and territory (77%) but failed to take their chances. Scotland are 40/1 (BetVictor) to win the 6 Nations Championship but the game at Murrayfield told us more about the visitors than the dogged hosts.

Ireland should have been out of sight at half time but again folded under pressure. They have now led at half time in 9 of their last 13 matches but won only four.

For 60 minutes France looked like they would upset England at Twickenham but Stuart Lancaster utilised the bench to good effect and kept the dream of a Grand Slam alive. England’s final game at the Millennium Stadium will be pivotal and they are 4/7 (Paddy Power) for the Grand Slam.

After a marvellous opening weekend for Italy it has been all downhill since and the Azzuri are 4/11 (William Hill) to pick up the wooden spoon, with France (3/1 William Hill), still looking for their first victory of the tournament.
