Leading Try Scorer: Tommy Seymour

Scored in all three Autumn Internationals and has a 46% strike rate in 13 games for Scotland.

Scoring tries has been a perennial problem for the Scotland rugby team but under Vern Cotter they could be about to enter a brave new era.

Scotland averaged 31.3 points during the Autumn Internationals and although they only faced New Zealand of the southern hemisphere heavyweights they could only beat what was in front of them.

Most encouraging has been the form of Tommy Seymour, who scored in all three of the Tests.

The American-born winger has been a revelation, bringing a cutting edge to a previously blunt side. With six tries in 13 appearances, his strike rate is almost identical to that of George North, albeit from a smaller sample size.

If Scotland continue to attack with the verve they showed during the autumn they will surprise a few teams and Tommy Seymour could be the man to capitalise.

At 66/1 (Skybet) he is a good each-way bet to be 6 Nations top tryscorer with ¼ odds for a top-4 finish.
