York Tips: Judicial

Judicial is 3/3 on turf this year and looks capable of making the step up to pattern-class performer. What I particularly like about Judicial is the fact he’s run three fast times. Adjusting for pace i’ve giving him speed ratings of 94-98-106, not only are they big ratings (I consider anything above 100 Listed and 110 Group 1 class) but they are trending upwards.

Not only has Judicial run fast times he’s also run quick sectionals, on his last two starts he’s been the quickest closer by 0.76s and 0.67s respectively.

There is the old adage that slow horses can’t run fast times and that applies to this horse. He is 9/15 at 5f, handles quick ground and as long as the draw isn’t a factor (potentially drawn away from pace) he should win.
