Set overly strong pace at 6f last time out but earned big adjusted speed rating. Down in trip this afternoon.
There are lots of imponderables in the 4.50 York, for starters how will weight affect the race. Jump jockeys take over from their flat counterparts with the weight carrying 11-10.
A lot will depend on how the horse copes with these news set of circumstances but Hilary J carried 10st last time out and might be suited to the contest.
At York she tried to make all but set an overly strong gallop over a distance that already stretches her stamina. Her finishing speed was 97% of her overall race speed, slower than par and indicative of a tiring horse.
Despite this she was beaten far and earned an adjusted speed rating of 92. This afternoon she drops down in trip (has won at 5f before) and although a wide draw is a concern it’s not enough to put me off.
