York Tip: Taste The Nectar

Unruly in paddock on racecourse debut and that immaturity also saw her start slowly. Showed ability to make up ground into a quickening pace and might be better than odds suggest.

Taste The Nectar was unruly in the paddock on debut at Yarmouth and she wasn’t much better behaved in the race. However, after a slow start she finished strongly, accelerating from the rear into a quickening pace. She made good progress under the circumstances and finished on the heels of a likely good horse.

Taste The Nectar will need to be smart herself to win a Listed race but she should come on bundles for the run and Robert Cowell’s runners also improve with racing. On debut she earned a good adjusted speed rating of 76 and although connections are aiming high she has a better chance than her odds suggest.
