York: Cold Case

Well fancied on debut but bumped into a very good horse. Pulled 11 lengths clear of third and adjusted speed rating was exceptional. Looked better the further he ran and step up to 6f looks perfect.

Cold Case was beaten when sent off at 8/11 on debut but I don’t think the money was misplaced, he simply bumped into a very good horse and was a 11 lengths clear of the third. In defeat he earned an adjusted speed rating of 93, which marks him out as a high-class juvenile and he gets to run without a penalty!

Re-watching the Carlisle race, Cold Case seemed to get outpaced early on it may have been greeness but the way he finished suggests the step up to 6f will be perfect. At a bigger price than his debut but with a high quality performance under the belt, he rates an excellent bet.
