Walk On Walter finished fourth in this race last year and there is a good chance he improves on that placing. Drawn in stall 10, he was posted three wide whilst trying to track a very strong early gallop. Despite this effort he still managed to stay on from midfield to finish fourth in a good time; an excellent effort under the circumstances.
He’s raced three times since then on turf, showing precious little but his is much better on a synthetic surface so we can overlook those efforts. He is well drawn in stall 4, is 6lbs lower than last year and his course and distance record is 41142.
