Wolverhampton Tips: Warba
Opening handicap of 62 is potentially generous after she ran a 21.89s closing sectional at Lingfield last time out.
I confess to knowing very little about trainer Mohamed Moubarak, although research shows he trained in Newmarket between 1990 and 1992, sending out over 50 winners. Well he’s back and has Warba in the 8.45 Wolverhampton.
Last time out she finished second in a low-grade Seller but it was anything but ordinary on the clock. The first two home dipped under 22s for the final 2f and although aided by the slack early pace, the overall time was also fair.
Warba didn’t quite have the immediate acceleration of the winner and lost the race between the 3f and 2f pole but she finished the race strongly and might be suited to the step up to 7f. Stall 1 is another positive and she is likely to be underrated in the market.
