Wolverhampton Tips: Studfarmer

Steps up in trip after struggling to go the early pace at 5f but his final 3f sectional hints at ability.

Salvado might come out and win the 4.40 Wolverhampton having looked unlucky when a close second last week; however I backed him at double the price that day he’s doesn’t appeal around the 11/4 mark.

Studfarmer is an interesting contender at a more workable price. He ran a bizarre race at Kempton on his last start, struggling to go the early pace he fell out the back of our screens only to rattle home in a scintillating 33.8s for the final 3f.

Kempton’s tight 5f track might have been too sharp therefore a step up in trip and a change in venue should work in his favour.

This is his third start for Polly Gundry and his new connections might have found the key to him. He is 21lbs below his last winning mark and a good bet at 7/1 (BetVictor).
